International Women’s Day 2022.

Perfect day for it. Yay, did you know we have been celebrating women and honouring their achievements since 1911, even though the United Nations first recognised International Women’s Day in 1975. Who run the world? GIRLS. 8th of March every year we stand together to mark and celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and raise awareness about women’s equality, accelerate gender parity. Every year, there is a new theme released by the UN. And in 2022 the theme is “gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”. Break the bias and call out instance of bias against women in the workplace, at school and at home. Not sure how to celebrate? Participate in all manner possible, whether this is of digital and in-person social gatherings, public or private.
